Observability & Monitoring
Installation and tuning of observability pipelines for your infrastructure and applications, from OpenTelemetry instrumentation in your code to multi-cluster monitoring in one place
We install and tune a monitoring stack that fits your environment: Prometheus and Grafana, the full LGTM stack, or Datadog. Alerting fires on real conditions, and dashboards are built around the questions you ask during an incident. Where the gap is in the applications rather than the infrastructure, we instrument your code with OpenTelemetry: traces across service boundaries and metrics the application emits itself, vendor-neutral so the data outlives your current backend. Running more than one cluster, we centralise it into a single store with long-term retention, so there is one place to query instead of a dashboard per island.
Cluster upgrades without downtime and GitOps delivery with Argo CD, so changing the platform stops being the thing everyone avoids
Kubernetes is rarely the problem by the time a cluster needs attention — the pods are running. What has accumulated is a platform nobody wants to change. We run the upgrade against a rollback path agreed in advance and leave a runbook for the next one, and move delivery to GitOps so promotion is a pull request and rollback is a revert.
If a customer is the one telling you something's down, the monitoring already failed. Good observability is more than dashboards: it is the right signals at the right moment, without noise and without your team having to live inside a dashboard.

Impact
Before this engagement the production platform had no observability, so infrastructure outages went unalerted. Now the team has direct visibility into how production actually behaves, and alerting fires on real conditions instead of staying silent, catching problems before they reach customers. Within weeks they found their own services were being OOMKilled regularly: container restarts nobody had been watching. Diagnosing and fixing it was theirs to do, once the problem was finally visible. The stack is operated by Comper's own team, and new services and clusters plug into it without a rebuild.
